2016 was a milestone year for us – 40 years in business. We wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for our clients. We hope that our experienced staff, community involvement, ever-growing Hawthorne Kitchens vehicle fleet, beautiful showroom and newly designed website help to convey what we are all about. As caring and concerned community members, we value your feedback to help us grow and improve our services. Since we cannot share the coffees, cookies, and baked goods always dropped off by our clients with thanks, we thought we would share a few of their thoughts instead.

I love my new Hawthorne kitchen. The people at Hawthorne were great in helping me design the kitchen I wanted. They had some great ideas and were able to customize to address any existing issues in my house. They also delivered and installed when they said. The crews that came to do the installation were very skilled and friendly. I liked the fact that they could do everything so I didn’t need to get any other contractors in to do anything. My husband and I renovated our worn out kitchen almost two years ago before one of our sons got married at home. The existing layout was poor and the cupboards were worn out. Due to this, we knew we would need not only cabinets and countertops but also flooring, plastering, painting, electrical, and plumbing. We contacted Hawthorne Kitchens to come in and give us some ideas and a quote. Don did an amazing job with everything and once we had made our choices the work was done professionally and on time. His advice was great and the layout he designed for our kitchen works perfectly. Just recently after spending the whole day in the kitchen getting ready for another family event , it occurred to me that after two years of working in this beautiful kitchen , there is not one thing I would change. The work area is amazingly efficient, so much can be done without even taking a step. If you are thinking kitchen renovations Hawthorne Kitchens is THE place to go. We recently completed a kitchen renovation and had custom cabinets done by Hawthorne. They were wonderful from start to finish. They made the process very easy. We shopped around to a couple places and found their work of high quality and pricing was competitive. We love our new kitchen and get compliments from everyone who comes to our home. From the first visit into Hawthorne Kitchens we felt like we were at home. We sat down with Leslie to design the kitchen she engaged and listened to our wants, and was able to improve on our thoughts of the design. We changed the lay out of the kitchen from an L shape to a full U shape. When Tom and I went in to finalize our choices Leslie stood back and let us discuss amongst ourselves. When she saw we were at opposite views she would help close the gap, and we came to an agreement. Once everything arrived within the 6 week time frame, the messy work began. From the first day to the last day (10 business days) we found all the staff friendly and efficient. They answered every question we had and if they didn’t know the answer, they would send us to the right person. We were almost sad to see the end of our kitchen renovation as we would no longer have our daily visits with the staff, I was so happy to get into our new kitchen. I spent more time in the kitchen that first weekend then I had in almost a year. When we had a small issue in regards to an appliance delivery,( not with Hawthorne) Scott looked after it which took care of our stress! We did find a small problem after the renovation was finished and when we notified Scott he got back to us right away, the problem fixed in no time. It has been a couple of weeks since the kitchen has been finished and we are proud of our dream kitchen. Thanks again Don, Scott and the rest of the staff.

Kassy and I just wanted to send you a quick note to say thanks, and to tell you how ecstatic we are with the work you have done on our home. The design of the kitchen you came up with has made the room so much more comfortable and useful; and the gentle guidance you gave us in picking colours and components was so helpful. It has turned out simply beautifully. We also wanted to make special mention of the tradesmen you sent. Each and every one of them was a pleasure to have in our home and did absolutely fantastic work. The floor, the stairs, the lighting, the bathroom and laundry room- even the work in the garage not only met but often exceeded my expectations. I have been truly impressed with not just the skill, but the work ethic shown by all (I have to make special mention here of Mike who spent the most time in the house and whose work ethic and attitude were absolutely wonderful. I expected the work to be done with skill, but was blown away by the people themselves. The extra time taken to keep the house clean and safe for the kids during the renovation went above and beyond. It was quite simply enjoyable to see the work come together and watch the crew work through the challenges of such a big job with each other with such a good spirit. I have been posting pictures on Facebook of the progress and getting tons of great feedback, and I have been singing your praises to all who will listen, and will continue to do so. We would also like to thank Lesley Shaw for her help in all phases of renovation. Lesley’s patience and understanding has helped us in many of the decisions for the kitchen. It was her upbeat attitude and your workmanship that drew us to your company after having been to so many other Kingston cabinet makers.
We could not send you a thank you without mentioning one person in particular who has stood out among all the people who have come here during the construction of our beautiful kitchen. We are very grateful that Adam Lyon was the main person on the kitchen cabinet project. He is an extremely hard worker and has a very meticulous eye for his work. He treated our kitchen as if it were his own and was respectful of his surroundings and his work. We cannot speak highly enough of his work, attitude, and company loyalty. He is very competent and was capable of handling any situation that would surface. He was always very courteous and thoughtful. Without a doubt, you have a fine professional in your employ!
Also thank you ever so much Don for going that extra mile and putting in that temporary counter for us so that we could host our daughter’s baby shower.
