Before you start your renovation, you should ask yourself a few questions. This will help you get the most out of your design. Here are some examples of questions to ask yourself before taking on your kitchen renovation (and can easily be carried over to any other room!):
How do you plan to use the kitchen? Are you planning to use the kitchen to feed your family every day? This high volume of traffic should influence your design choices! There are many finishes to choose from for your custom cabinets, and some are easier to clean than others.
Do you have a lot of kitchen gadgets? Don’t forget to give them a place to go! If you’re somebody that has a blender, multiple coffee brewing methods, a crock pot, etc: you might want to consider a design that allows for all of these items to be easily reached!
Write a list of your most common activities in the kitchen and a resolution on how a new kitchen could improve these tasks. A new kitchen should improve your quality of life, not only visually but with the functionality of the living space as well.
